Hair that suffers from chronic dryness needs an extra boost to regain its luster.  Enriched with Cupuaçu Butter & Castor Oil, Emollience™ breaks the cycle to restore your hair’s natural shine and elasticity.  After just one use, hair is noticeably softer, silkier and more vibrant.  That’s Mmm-hmmm-mollience!

An penetrating oil treatment that restores the correct moisture balance to parched hair.

Extremely dry hair that needs help to recover from harsh environmental conditions or chemical treatments.

Cupuaçu Butter, a thick, rich emollient packed with phytosterols, possesses a high capacity for water absorption and helps dry hair hold onto moisture.  Castor Oil provides unbeatable shine and creates a protective barrier around the hair shaft. Click for a full list of ingredients.

  1. Great treatment, interesting fragrance

Posted by Eboni on 20th May 2013

I didn't quite know what to expect, but I figured I would give this a chance given that I normally use rinse-out conditioners to pre-poo my hair 4 b/c afro-textured hair. I applied this as directed to a small (but decent sized) dry section of relatively unclean hair. Left the pre-treatment on for exactly 5 minutes, and to my surprise my hair felt so much softer than it does when I usually use conditioner! As un flattering as this may sound, the herbal yet sweet fragrance reminds me of a food condiment, lol. This type of fragrance is bearable, but I'm not entirely sure that I NEED a larger size of this product.

The cool thing about this product is that you can use this before shampooing (5 minutes/overnight), maybe as a deep conditioning treatment, or maybe even as a leave-in treatment. I feel like using this pre-treatment before testing out the other samples did a great job of moisturizing, protecting, and effectively preparing my hair for the rest of my shampooing and styling process.

  2. Nourishes Hair - if you can get over the smell

Posted by Karyn on 26th Dec 2012

I trialed Emollience as a pre-treatment and applied it the night before shampooing my hair. The results were great nourishment and protection during cleansing. The results were soft and hydrated curls that lasted for days. The only problem "for me" is the smell. It is pretty strong. If you have used Black Castor Oil and cannot get past the smell, using this product may present a challenge for you. I would definitely use it again, but recommend that you give it a whiff before applying it to your hair. I will not sleep in it, but will apply it a few hours ahead of time.

  3. Great as an day to day hair treatment!

Posted by Jess on 3rd Sep 2012

I've been using this four to five days out of the week. I've got very thick, wavy, dry hair and this really sinks in and makes it more manageable and healthy. I typically will slather it on at night before I go to bed and wash it out in the morning.

  4. Excellent Product!

Posted by Kim Troiano on 21st Jul 2012

I really love this product as a deep conditioner every now and then. It was very moisturizing, but maybe a tad too heavy for my hair type. I could see myself using this for a blast of moisture on a bi-weekly to monthly basis.

  5. Very Moisturizing

Posted by Unknown on 10th Jul 2012

I loved how moisturized my hair felt. I left this product in over night with a shower cap on. When i washed it out the next morning. My hair was super soft and moisturized...and clean!

  6. I think I found my New Staple Line

Posted by Ambee Jai on 3rd May 2012

I finally tried my sample last weekend. OMG! This stuff is AMAZING! I used it after washing my hair twice with a sulfate shampoo. I didn''t use a leave-in, I wanted to see if Emollience was going to do what it says it does.
I applied it to my wet hair focusing on the ends and roots and plaited my hair, six hours later my later was completely dry and shining. My hair felt so moisturized and supple. I could tell my hair would be fluffy once I took the plaits out. My hair stayed moisturized for 4 days!! A little goes a long way with this product too, I didn't even use up half of my sample jar I still have bascially a whole sample left, so I can use it about 3or 4 times before I actually have to purchase the bigger jar!
I am definitely a fan! I plan on trying EVERYTHING! LOL
