Curly Oily

Curly hair is not always dry and can, in fact, be oily, particularly near the roots.  Loosely curled or wavy hair is also easily weighed down and tends to be flatter in the crown area. The recommended regimen for this hair type cleanses without stripping, uses natural humectants and botanicals to add volume, and provides lightweight frizz control and moisture.

Original Moxie Rx:

MASSAGE: At least one time per week, apply about 12 drops of Scalp Therapy™ on your scalp and massage with the pads of your fingers, being careful not to scrape the skin with your nails. Regular massage will help to dislodge accumulated debris on the scalp and encourage healthy oxygen flow. Scalp Therapy™ also contains a number of natural antibacterial and antifungal agents which keep the surface of your scalp clean and healthy.

CLEANSE: Cleanse your hair every day with Get Fresh! Shampoo.  If you have previously used strong, extra foamy shampoos, you may find that it takes a few weeks for your hair to adjust to a more gentle routine.  This is very common side effect of harsh shampoos, which unbalance the scalp and stimulate sebacious glands to over-produce oil.  Don't worry - your scalp and hair will adjust to a more natural, sulfate-free shampoo.  The benefit is that, once the adjustment period is over, you will find that your hair is naturally less oily and can go for much longer before needing a wash!

CONDITION: Featherweight™ Conditioner is completely oil-free but does properly acidify the scalp and hair, leaving hair feeling light, clean, and moisturized.  Don't skip this step, as the proper conditioning treatment is essential to keeping oil production under control and the scalp in balance.

STYLE: To amplify volume and curls, apply Oasis™ Moisture Gel and Sweet Poof™ Volumizing Spray to damp hair. Scrunch and diffuse dry for a looser look or, for more definition and frizz control, apply Hold Up™ Defining Serum prior to drying.
