Working in sections, rake a dollop of serum through wet hair from roots to tips. The hold is deceptively strong, so if you’re new to this product, be conservative on your first application. To accentuate vertical lift, flip hair upside down and smooth product downwards, working from the crown to the ends of your hair. Diffuse dry for best results.
Feel like playing it straight? Looser textures can apply a small amount of Hold Up to damp hair for a voluminous, frizz-free blowout.

Hold Up serum has amazing hold and creates a great cast after diffusing. Once my hair is completely dry, I scrunch out the cast and I’m left with beautiful curls with amazing hold. I use about 3 quarter size amounts for my entire head which is raked in.
Superior hold and frizz control.

This is the easiest wash and wear styling product ever. It lasts for up to 3 days with a splash of water added the next morning. There is no color problem with this clear gel and gray/silver hair.

I love this stuff! I bought Hold Up based on other reviews, but had difficulty with it out of the gate. Thanks to Rachel's guidance, I started cocktailing OMG with Shape Shifter, and then locked it all in with Hold Up. Nirvana!!! I get three solid days and a 4th fair-to-middling day with this combination on my 2C, fine, transitioning-to-silver hair. Wonderful!

This serum has incredible hold. It has the best hold of any product I've used in twenty years, without the crunch, white flakes, and chemicals of the gels I used to use.

A small dab of this and my moderately curly hair stays presentable all day. I rub it through my towel dried hair after a shower and crunch it up a bit in a few spots. After it has dried, my hair only needs a bit of light brushing to smooth the sides a bit. There is no flaking or stiffness that other products for the same purpose might produce.

I absolutely love this product! It's a staple for me (along with the shape shifter). My hair is 3a/b and this product is just fantastic. I use this as my final product when styling my hair. It gives me extra hold which helps me have 2nd and 3rd day hair. It also gives me shine. I will repurchase again and again. I don't have to use much, maybe a quarter size puddle for my long hair. The small bottle will last me quite a while. I bought the medium sized bottle recently and plan on buying the liter size when it's back in stock. I use this every time I style. Thank you for a fantastic product! Please don't ever change the formula or stop making this wonderful product.

Hold up Defining Serum: I just bought this product a week ago & I absolutely love it. The only other product I have used from Original Moxie is the Just Gel. I cannot get enough of that product either. I have thick, dry kinky curly hair. Today I am wearing day 3 hair and it still is curly and defined. The only thing that I might suggest is different scents. I am not a huge fan of the smell, but it is light. I will definitely deal with the smell for the way the product works! LOVE IT!

I have very fine, curly hair that is extremely dry and as a result very frizzy. Original Moxie products have completely changed this.
I use Hold Up on wet hair after OMG and Shape Shifter to seal my curls and form a cast whilst my hair dries. This keeps all the moisture in and once dry, I comb my hair to break the cast and have lovely soft bouncy curls.
I have medium length hair and only use an amount the size of a 10 pence piece (not sure of a US equivalent, sorry from Scotland but it isn't much at all). If I still find my hair is a little fluffy I use a tiny amount of Mane Tame which just melts into my hair beautifully!
I have also tried Just Gel and find Hold Up to be much better for my hair. If in doubt try the mini's, it's trial and error to start but it's 100% worth it.
