Of course those things are fine and dandy in their own right, but they don't have much to do with creating hair products that actually work. That's why, right from the start, we decided to do things differently.
How is it possible, you might ask, that one little industry-outsider could succeed where Fortune 500 companies had not? The answer is simple, really. Rachel conceived, tested and refined her formulations in collaboration with real people (friends, family, neighbors and colleagues), all of whom had diverse hair care needs and all of whom she saw on a daily basis. If you're a giant corporation, that's not the way it works. Instead, products are conceived in a board room, created in a lab, and 'value engineered' to minimize cost and maximize profits. This process begins with a concept, rather than a person, focuses on profit and tends to overlook the complexities of . Is it any wonder that most commercial products only work for a fraction of consumers?
Our bottom-up product development begins and ends with real people and takes a problem-solving approach to real hair care needs. A new product generally emerges when we are approached by a friend or client in need of a particular product. Rachel personally crafts each product, from customizing herbal infusions, to sourcing pure, natural ingredients and fine-tuning Moxie's iconic essential oil fragrances. Products are then painstakingly tested and refined until we are positive that they are effective for the intended hair type. Finally, we label our products with our 3-D Diagnostic System™ that helps you identify the products that fit your unique hair type. We want to build life-long relationships with our clients – not just sell you a product – so it's important to us that you find the shampoos, conditioners, stylers and treatments that best meet your needs.
